Liz graduated from San Saba High School and attended Angelo State University where she started her banking career as a part time teller. With the original desire to become a court reporter or accountant, her college job experience shifted her career interests. She found the banking industry interesting and moved quickly into a full-time role. She worked her way up to Branch Manager within a couple of years, while still attending college. After graduating, Liz was given the opportunity to become a Mortgage Loan Officer. In 1990 she received a call from the President of TexasBank asking if she had any interest in moving to Brownwood to start a mortgage program. She jumped at the chance and never looked back. Liz created the TexasBank mortgage program and managed it until 2023 where she moved into a Community Relations role. In this role, she can focus on giving back to the community and helping other employees learn what reward a community banking career truly can be.

What I like most about my community...

Brown County is a very giving community. Whether it is a non-profit or family in need, the community rallies. Brownwood has become a destination city with all of the various things to do and sites to visit.
